life advice from pop lyrics
"Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten" - unwritten - Natasha Bedingfield
using it: there's a few parts of this song/artist I'd like to call attention to:
1. obviously no one else can feel the rain upon your skin, i mean unless they touch your wet skin, but I don't think that's what she is talking about.
2. I really like the "live your life with arms wide open" - yeah dude. bring it on.
3. this is one of those catchy pop songs that I really don't like, but really enjoy when it comes on the radio (see 1000 miles by vanessa carlton)
4. why does this girl feel the need to impart wisdom
5. her website compares her to Annie Lennox and Dido. WTF? as if Dido and this chick could ever even think about being compared to annie lennox. Cha. As If.
Happy First Day of Summer ! I'll be celebrating tonight with a lovely dinner with some nice people i spend about 40+ hours a week with.
In Aunty M news- K took all of the cushions off the bus seats yesterday, and completed the outhouse. It is the best built outhouse I have ever seen. One could almost use the word "overbuilt" but one would never do that, because one has to sleep in the same bus with said carpenter. Apparently in order to "unbolt" the seats on the bus, a person (me) needs to be under the grimy greasy bus with the spiders and bugs, and unknown insects, holding the back of the bolts. another person (K) will be inside the safe haven of the bus, turning the bolts.
Logistically this makes sense, because the stronger person needs to be on the bus turning the bolts, but really, i'm short, with short arms, so I won't be able to lie on the ground while holding the nuts in place. I'll have to kind of squat/kneel/twist because buses are high off the ground.
no pictures to share today, but tomorrow a picture of the outhouse and the empty seats.
so i'm going to go drench myself with words unspoken.
