i went out today at lunch and bought a swimming cap. one of those spandex dealios black, sleek, makes me and my huge melon look like an upside down exclimation point !

so i'm going swimming tonight. for a workout, not for fun.

i'm a little concerned.

last night i played football soccer again. it was going ok. I was trying to kick the ball with my bloody toe, and it went a few feet, so that was good. then there was a "pick up" game. about 5 14 year olds vs me, another woman from work, and 4 guys from work. ok, sure. we have a keeper (i'm learning to play from my british boss, so i'm learning with the british phrases), the pitch is full of holes and dirt, but i'm ready to play. the other woman (previously known as supermodel bathing suit wearer) and I play defense, near the goal. but it is pretty much assumed that we will be useless, and not actually defend anything.

I defended. i got my butt handed to me, i got slammed onto the ground 3 seperate times. i have bruises- those 14 year olds are RUTHLESS. but we won!

i want a snack!
