lyme
PSA:
K has long term lyme disease, and it's terrible. without broadcasting most of his personal life - towards the end of Sept he woke up and his knee was SWOLLEN sore, red, hot and not really being a knee. Of course this happened 1.5 years after he was diagnosed, took the medicine and was "cured" of lyme.
it has not improved- he has no health insurance, and is currently quite in pain.
he can't drive, can't really use his knee at all, and is unable to work.
if you think you might have been bitten by a tick, have a red bullseye, or have joint pain that is persistant and extreme, please think about being tested for lyme.
I've been doing a lot of reading about it, and it's not good. Please be safe, check for ticks, and get tested! if you receive antibiotics early enough, it's treatable.

Sorry to hear this Chandra- my cousin was diagnosed a few years ago, treated, and appears to be doing well. But it's a tough thing. Best wishes-
Lisa
